At Kingscross we believe that Jesus invites us into a mission bigger than ourselves: to make disciples and bring His good news to every person, everywhere. This isn’t just for those in formal ministry—it’s for all of us. God has placed you exactly where you are to shine His light and share His truth.

This year, several Table Communities have hosted the Alpha course, and we have seen some amazing people join the KC community as a result!

In February 2026 we are excited to be launching our first KC-wide Alpha course, where any KC member can attend and bring along a friend, colleague or family member.

What’s Alpha?

Alpha is a series of seven relaxed evenings of dinner and conversation, designed to explore the big questions of life, faith  and meaning, in a way that’s open to anyone, regardless of belief.

Alpha is not a sales pitch, lecture or a sermon - think of it more like open ended dinner-table discussion. Each week you share food, watch a short video on a topic like “Is there more to life than this?” or “Who was Jesus?”, and then have space to ask questions or challenge ideas in a group setting.

So what are we doing tonight?

• In order to prepare ourselves well to invite people to Alpha, we will be watching part of a session by Sydney-based evangelist, cultural analyst and medical doctor Sam Chan.

• ‍Discuss:
  1. What stood out to you from this session?
  2. Which point would you most like to put into practice in the coming weeks? (Merge worlds, Go where they go, Coffee-Dinner-Gospel, Listen)
  3. Make a list of 5 people you would like to invite to Alpha.  Next to each name write one way you could deepen your relationship/conversation with that person leading up to Feb 2026.
  Pray:For the people on your lists. For salvations.  For people who have walked away from God to return to Him. For your own hearts to be filled with love and boldness, to engage with those who don’t know Jesus yet.
