Table
Communities

Was Jesus the original foodie? When we look to His life, we find that much of His ministry would revolve around a shared table. A place to gather over a meal, to walk alongside each other, to thoughtfully build one another up. A place to grow in an abundance of grace. At Kingscross, Table Communities are one way in which we practice doing community how Jesus did community with those around him.
What to expect at a Table Community
Aside from a place to enjoy great food and conversation, Table Communities are place where you will experience meaningful relationships, mutual discipleship and a multiplying of God's grace. These form the three pillars, or shared values, of each group.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.

Table Community FAQs
How many people are in each Table Community?
Table Communities typically consist of 6-12 people. Once the group consistently reaches over 12 people in regular attendance we start the process of multiplying the group into two smaller groups.
Why are Table Communities kept to smaller sizes?
Table Communities are kept to smaller sizes so we can grow deeper in relationship with one another and better care for each other’s physical and spiritual needs. Smaller groups increase participation and ownership of the group, vulnerability and intimacy.
What can I expect on a typical evening at a Table Community?
You can expect to meet some awesome people, fellowship over a meal, study the Bible together and pray for one another.
Do Table Communities run all year around?
Table Communities run during the school terms.
Who manages the table community in my area?
There are Table Community Co-ordinators who look after managing each group. Each Table Community (TC) runs slightly differently according to the meeting preferences and availability of the group. To assist with facilitation of conversation after a meal, a podcast and notes for discussion are provided weekly by Kingscross.

The Lord's Prayer
Most of us pray when life feels confusing or out of control — but what if prayer is more than a wish list? In this five-week series, The Lord’s Prayer, we explore how Jesus’ words invite us into something far deeper: a real, honest relationship with God. Each line of the prayer reveals a different side of who God is — a Father who welcomes, provides, forgives, and protects. It’s not about getting the words right; it’s about learning to trust again, to see life through God’s eyes, and to discover that prayer isn’t for the religious — it’s for the human.
