Each week, Kingscross members serve each other and the community around them by getting involved in our various service teams. We welcome new volunteers in any area - get in touch for details on how you can serve!
Ministry Teams
At Kingscross, every person matters and has something valuable to contribute. When you choose to serve, you're not just helping out—you're using your unique gifts to strengthen our community, forge meaningful friendships, and grow deeper in your faith. As you serve alongside others, you'll discover a greater sense of belonging and see firsthand how God is working through you to build His church and advance our shared vision.
Set Up
The Set Up Team is responsible for creating a welcoming and functional environment by setting up and packing down furniture, equipment, and signage before and after services. This team ensures the space is ready for worship, gatherings and community events.
Scheduled: Once a month
Team: 2–3 people
Serving Time: 2–3pm & 5:30–6:30pm (Before & After Service)
Qualification: Physically able to move furniture

Sound
The Sound and Media Team manages the technical aspects of the service, including audio, visuals, and live streaming as required. They ensure sound quality, lighting, and multimedia presentations run smoothly to support the support the worship team, and sermon requirements as needed each Sunday.

Qualification: No experience required; technical aptitude helpful

Media

Worship
The Worship Team leads the congregation with music and praise, creating an atmosphere that encourages people to engage with God. They prepare and perform songs that exalt Jesus and communicate the truths of the gospel.

Cafe
The Cafe Team are responsible for caffeinating (and decaffeinating) our church family and guests every Sunday! They prepare and serve warm drinks before and after services, as well as assisting with morning teas and other hosting duties as needed.

Connect
The Connect Team creates a bridge between newcomers and our church family, helping first-time guests feel seen, valued, and welcomed from the moment they arrive. This is where friendships begin and people discover they truly belong at Kingscross.

The Prayer Team stands in the gap through intercession, partnering with God to see breakthrough and transformation in our church and community. Join us in the sacred privilege of seeking God's face and watching Him move in powerful ways.

Hospitality
The Hospitality Team extends God's warmth and welcome by creating beautiful, nourishing spaces where people feel cared for and valued. Use your gifts for creating inviting atmospheres and preparing thoughtful meals that help our community feel at home.

Creative
The Creative Team tells the story of God's faithfulness by capturing moments of worship, connection, and transformation through compelling photos, videos, and other creative mediums.

KC Kids
The KC Kids Team provide a safe and engaging environment for children to learn about God through age-appropriate lessons, games, and activities. You can find out more about our different KC Kids groups here. The KC Kids team enjoy nurturing faith in children of all ages, creating opportunities for them to build a relationship with Jesus and their peers.

The Care Team demonstrates Christ's love in tangible ways by meeting practical needs—whether that's delivering a meal, helping with a home project, or providing transportation. Be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who need support during life's challenges and transitions.

The KCYA Team walks alongside the next generation, creating spaces where young people can encounter Jesus, build authentic friendships, and discover their God-given purpose. Join us in investing in young lives and watching them grow into passionate followers of Christ who will shape the future of our church and community.

Sunday Table
Join us for Kingscross Sunday Table on November 30 at St Alban’s Highgate — a community dinner where we share food, friendship, and God’s goodness. This month’s theme is Harmony: come dressed in something that reflects your culture and bring a dish to share. Dessert and drinks are provided, and friends are warmly welcome!
